It’s been hard for us as players due to the amount of respect we all have for the boss (ex-boss)

Maguire went on to say: We have been on a journey together over the last two and half years.

The results of recently have not been good enough and the defeat to Watford of Saturday was not good enough.

The Players need to take responsibility for the recent form but unfortunately Ole paid the price.

Carrick was asked if he had any indication of how long he will be in the managerial role of which he replied:

The club has been in my life for a very long time now and he is prepared to continue in the role for as long as it takes.

It could be one game, two games or ongoing.

The role is not really on his mind at this time, he is focused on tomorrow’s Champions League tie against Villarreal.
